Campaign Setting

 

 

As the peoples of the Heartlands grew to trust the agreement of the Gathering Treaty, the nations began to trade with one another. As a result, the differing merchants and traders pooled their knowledge and skills to form the Guilds. Each Guild specialises in a different art or profession, and undertakes to train its members in an area of expertise. Each also maintains a library where the knowledge of their Guild is held. The Bards Guild has a small section of the Great Library of Norhault and all other guilds maintain private libraries.

The Guilds of the Lorien Trust campaign world Erdreja exist for two reasons during the events. They are an in-game resource to learn new skills and gain information and a place to purchase those sought after items and gain pieces of information. Out of character the Guilds are where, depending upon the character you play, you would go to get your power cards for Incantors, Mages and Healers. They are also one of the best places to spend Occupational Skill Points or OSP's (for more information on these look in the rules section.)

The Guilds are split down into nine groups that as players in the campaign world you can join. These Guilds offer opportunities to progress outside of the Factions and for you to encounter other people in a neutral area.
