Tarantulas

The Tarantulan Nation spans the length and breadth of the Heartlands in the subterranean caverns and tunnel systems that are collectively referred to as “The Underdark”. The faction is mostly comprised of Drow, Norns and Dark Elves although other races are well represented.
The nation as a whole is a matriarchal society where the current Valsharess and her advisors lead the people of the Underdark in matters of state, war and most importantly, faith. Religion plays an important part in the day to day lives of the denizens of the under empire and although open worship of many ancestors is tolerated, it is often frowned upon by the more pious Dark Elves.
In more recent times, the faction finds itself in a time of uneasy peace; it is a time to re-build, re-arm and ready the people for whatever threat chooses to throw itself next against the swords and shields of the Tarantulan Nation.
Valsharess Ginafae Karrash-Morr
Valsharess Ginafae was born into a former ruling house, however, was subsequently adopted by the previous Valashress Karrash-Morr upon her mother’s glorious calling to serve Lloth. Valsharess Ginafae has had a fruitful and extensive military career, rising through the ranks of the Tarantulan army to the position of war commander.
After proving her worth in battle she was called by Lloth to a more spiritual challenge. Embodying the Fury of Lloth, Valsharess Ginafae sacrificed position, rank and title to guard a sacred shrine until it could be safely consecrated. Upon her return to the Tarantulan Nation she found herself once more blessed by her ancestor and was elevated to the position of Valsharess.
Viceroy Firenzi Morghun
Firenzi is an Unseelie Fey Lord and a Prince of Arcadia. Firenzi was originally affiliated with the Dragons faction but was “poached” in the “great recruitment drive”, for his renowned skills in trade and “acquisition”. He was previously apprenticed by the then Grandmaster of the Scouts Guild for many years and is one of the longest serving and most experienced Scouts Guild members still alive today with a longevity of service that is second to none.
He quickly rose through the ranks of the Tarantulas, eventually taking up the role of Supreme Chancellor, funding the faction for many years and was further promoted when he was made Senior Advisor to Valsharess Araushnee Naxos D’Fey in 1107 and initiated as second in command of the Tarantulan Nation.
After the ascension of Valsharess Naxos D’Fey he found himself out of a job until he was named Viceroy of the Tarantulan Nation by her successor, Valsharess Ginafae Karrash-Morr. At one time Firenzi was described by a former Bank of Erdreja Grandmaster as “Erdreja’s Richest Man”. It is well documented that Firenzi enjoys nothing more than liquefying his enemies with vast amounts of destructive magic that he refers to as "Vulgar displays of power."
Loremaster Valinor Eclavadraar
Valinor Eclavadraar has spent the majority of his life studying Elven and Dark Elven lineage, customs and history. Upon meeting with the first-born elves, he was convinced to bring his knowledge to aid and assist the Tarantula faction in remembering who they once were. Since his introduction, he is now Valsharess Ginafae Karrash-Morr's second advisor and holds the title of Loremaster.
He can often be found at the forefront of any conflict or strife his nation faces, striking at those who seek to destroy that which he has sworn to uphold and protect with an ancient elven spear that he calls a “Kru’sch’tik”.
