The Mages GuildMages

The Mages Guild Of Erdreja is a guild with a very long and varied history. Originally set up to provide training in the magical arts to people who had little chance to gain such training, the Guild grew under the guidance of Thomas the Wise (now known as Floris) through a number of developments - the creation of the elemental colleges, the creation of the Colour Mages and the amalganation of the colleges into the current guild, the rise of the elemental colleges and their transformation into the modern training and research based stucture we have now. Historically the Mages Guild have been viewed as a guild who "sat on the fence" over matters of factional and world-wide importance, however the majority of non-members have not seen the hard work the Guild does behind the scenes in ensuring the best outcome for Erdreja and everyone who lives on her. The Mages Guild welcomes any mage, ritualist or anyone with an interest in magical matters and still provides magical training to all who wish for it as their magical research and training facilities are second to none. The guild currently has three Masters - Terwin, Heather Sparrow and Maestro Pietro who are assisted in their tasks by a number of senior guild members. Recently the guild have concentrated on working towards the good of Erdreja, helping rebalance the issues raised during the Cataclysm; The guild looks forward to the interesting and fruitful time ahead.

Terwin

Raised in the Temple of the Fellowship of the Full moon he is a devout follower of Lunas. A faith he has strengthened through his search for knowledge and the secrets revealed to him. Throughout his life he has been incorrectly blamed for the destruction of two Tomes of Magic, although he was instrumental in their restoration. He can be found now as a Master Mage of the guild, a position he has held for a number of year after being appointed by the Embodiment of the Void. Dressed in a purple robe, a holdover from his days in the Fellowship, he can often be seen behind the desk, discussing magical theory or helping the guilds on the field of battle. He puts his long life down to the simple motto "If all else fails it's time for plan B".

Heather Sparrow

Heather came to Erdreja from the inner void into the midst of Satuun's occupation of Skald. A novice in a strange land, she joined the Mages Guild shortly after and has proven herself a keen researcher, especially on the elements and patterns, the theory of null points on the Paths of Light and the vampires of Erdreja. In her time she has been a diplomat, a knight, a faction libarian and the founder of a bloodline amongst may other things. She became a Master Mage at the request of the Higher and Lower Councils of the guild and resides at Indigo Tower with her two children, her apprentices, a few of her bloodline and a number of random visitors. In her spare time she scribes scrolls, writes books and visits interesting places, time permitting!

Maestro Pietro

The Maestro was born in the city of Syracusa, Sicilija. From an early age he was educated in the arts of sorcery, politics and military history. He showed a particular aptitude with sorcery. At the age of 18 he was accepted into the order of the Poor Knights of the Doomed Prince in Azure, serving in many of the Commanderies of the Order in Sicilija and abroad. Whilst serving in Messina he came to the notice of Maestro Sartori, who encouraged his further studies in sorcery. He was accepted as one of the Maestros apprentices. Shortly before the death of Maestro Sartori, Pietro was accepted as his equal and granted the title of Maestro. He continues in his studies applying the arts of sorcery to modern warfare and the defence of nation states.
